Founded in 1989 by Bertrand Decoster, Mygale is a leading French company in the design and manufacture of racing cars. Ligier Automotive acquired a stake in the company in 2013 and became the majority shareholder of the Magny-Cours-based company at the end of 2024.

As part of this merger, Mygale is changing its identity and becoming Ligier Advanced Technologies, in line with the group's strategy and with the aim of achieving consistency. This name change is a natural and strategic evolution, explains Bertrand Decoster, founder of Mygale. It reflects our commitment to excellence, capitalizing on the strength of the Ligier brand while pursuing our core business: designing and manufacturing high-quality vehicles and parts. This is a new step, but our DNA remains intact. »

For his part, Jacques Nicolet, President of Ligier Automotive explained that " The integration of Mygale under the Ligier brand is part of a desire to offer a clearer, more coherent and more ambitious offering. In order to meet this desire, Mygale's multimedia contents have been integrated to the official Ligier website in order to have a unified digital presence.

Continuing with this integration dynamic, the Mygale single-seaters will be renamed Ligier and this transition is already visible on the starting grids since the F4 chassis of the French, Indian and Chinese championships made their 2025 comeback under the name Ligier JS F422. Note that the first concrete manifestation of this new dynamic will be the development of the Ligier JS F326, the future FIA-approved Regional Formula. It will be unveiled soon and will be able to participate in the various FR (Regional Formula) championships from 2026.

The strength of the Ligier brand! A joke rather known for its license-free cars.
