New points system in IndyCar

THEIndyCar is optimizing its regulations in 2014 since the 500 mile races (Indianapolis, Pocono Raceway and Fontana) will offer double the points compared to the other races in the Championship. Specific points will be awarded at the end of qualifying for the Indy 500. Among the new rules established, an unauthorized engine change will no longer result in a penalty of ten places on the grid but a withdrawal of ten points in the standings.
