Last May during the Indianapolis 500, won by the American Ryan Hunter-Reay (Andretti Autosport), the French simon pagenaud, then driver of the No. 12 Schmidt Peterson Motorsports DW77, wore a helmet paying tribute to the late Brazilian Ayrton Senna, which will be sold starting today at auction. “I wore this helmet in the colors of my hero Ayrton Senna during the last edition of the Indy 500. It was a moment of intense emotion for me because I have always admired this driver. Today, I am paying tribute to him by putting this helmet up for auction. Together, we can raise funds for this noble cause: early childhood literacy through the Ayrton Senna Institute. There is not a moment to lose! » said the new pilot Penske.
