In this first FRMEC race on the Losail circuit, it was mainly a question of tire degradation. And in this game, it was Nikita Bedrin (Saintéloc Racing) who was the most comfortable.
In a Race 1 that seemed destined for Ugo Ugochukwu (R-ace GP), author of an excellent start to get the better of poleman Evan Giltaire (ART Grand Prix), Nikita Bedrin emerged in the final moments to depose the American and steal the victory from him at the last minute. Eighth on the grid, the Russian demonstrated excellent management to preserve tire capital in the final laps and thus come back like an arrow.
Trapped at the start, Evan Giltaire completed the podium after a hectic Race 1. This was notably marked by a contact with his runner-up in the championship Freddie Slater (Mumbai Falcons). Luckily, he got away while his rival fell in the standings. Although he tried to come back, the latter could not do better than 12th after having notably lost three positions in the final moments. This allowed the Frenchman to inflict an 18-1 on him to take a 36-point lead while there are still 60 points at stake.
