He started from pole position thanks to a series of unusual circumstances, but Freddie Slater didn't let his chance slip away. Indeed, although the Briton started from the top of the grid, it was thanks to a first qualifying session that was simply canceled this Saturday morning. After a long red flag waved at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit, race management finally decided to take into account the classification of the first practice session on Friday to determine the various grid positions. One of the favorites this season, Freddie Slater earned the first success of his FRECA career, having only completed one lap at Misano in Race 1 and having finished just a few tenths behind Evan Giltaire in Race 2.

In the French camp, the day's result was entirely consistent with the strengths present. Behind Matteo De Palo, already in form at the first round of the season, Enzo Deligny also knew how to seize his opportunity. Although he hadn't been expected to be in such a strong position at the start of the weekend, the Frenchman, starting on the front row alongside Slater, finished on the podium after leading the race for a while. From the start, Deligny had effectively gotten the better of the leader at the exit of Raidillon, gaining a few laps in the lead before being caught.

Just behind him, Evan Giltaire can be pleased to have maintained his position. Fifth at the start, the championship leader after Misano finished well behind the top three, but almost got overtaken by Hiyu Yamakoshi (VAR) on the final lap. With a deficit of more than five seconds to the leading trio, the Frenchman is undoubtedly counting on another smooth qualifying session on Sunday morning to try to secure another pole position. This will take place at 3:9 a.m. (French time), and can be followed on the FRECA YouTube channel. Sunday's race will start at 30:16 p.m.
