Together, we are always stronger. As in 2022, Stefan Wilson will compete in the Indianapolis 500 (May 28, 2023) benefiting from a partnership between two structures. If Cusick Motorsports remains in the game, this will no longer be the case for DragonSpeed, which gives way to Dreyer & Reinbold Racing.
Stefan Wilson, author of four participations in the Indy 500 (15th in 2018), is setting his sights on nothing more and nothing less than victory in 2023. It must be said that his new team Dreyer & Reinbold Racing has played among the party troubles in recent editions, placing a car in the top 10 in 2021 (Sage Karam) and 2022 (Santino Ferrucci).

“I was very impressed with how hard DRR worked and focused on the Indy 500, Wilson said. It’s such an honor for me to join them in partnership with Cusick Motorsports and work with them on our collective goal of trying to win the Indy 500. There is a great opportunity here for us to grow together. I hope this leads to more Indy 500s, and maybe even more races together. »
Stefan Wilson is the younger brother of the late Justin Wilson who drove for the team for two years, in 2010 and 2011, when Dreyer & Reinbold Racing operated full-time in IndyCar Series.
“There is history here with this team, Justin spent two years with DRR in 2010-2011 and got some podiums. I got to know Dennis (Reinbold), Brett De Bord, director of business operations, and Chase Selman, general manager, very good at the time, so it's great to have them back. »
