Benoît Tréluyer took part in the last race of the 2009 Formula Nippon season this weekend. He finished the championship in second place, behind Loïc duval. On this occasion, the Frenchman told his team that he was stopping his career in Formula Nippon to turn to GT and endurance.

« At 32, I think it is time to turn the page on car, confirms the Alençonnais. I have experienced extraordinary moments in Formula Nippon over the last eight seasons. One champion title, three vice-champions, eleven victories, it is important to give way to the younger generation. Me, I will now turn completely to GT in Japan and Sport-Prototype in Europe or the United States. »
