Victor Martins' (ART) misfortunes show no signs of stopping. Second in qualifying by three thousandths of a second, the Frenchman was beaten by Alex Dunne (Rodin) at the end of Friday's race. Yet on Sunday morning, the Frenchman was the fastest on the starting grid when the lights went out. Trying to overtake the Irishman on the outside, Martins came up against the leader's more than muscular defense.
Stuck on the outside of the corner, Alex Dunne simply sent his counterpart into the wall. In the lead, the two men naturally triggered a chain reaction that was nothing short of impressive. While the red flag was waved, eleven drivers were involved in the accident in total. From the first lap, the grid was decimated at the start of the main race. When the race resumed, the standings would largely be shaken up. Enough to reshuffle the cards after a close qualifying session.
