It's a historic day for DS Penske in China. The American team from the Stellantis group has achieved its first double in Formula E during Race 1 in Shanghai. Behind an imperial Maximilian Günther from pole position, Jean-Éric Vergne came in second place. Fifth at the start of the final lap, the Frenchman put in a top-flight final lap.
After getting rid of championship leader Oliver Rowland (Nissan), the former driver Toro Rosso en Formula 1 came to beat Taylor Barnard (McLaren) and Dan Ticktum (Cupra) to get onto the box behind his teammate. A double overtaking carried out on the two British drivers under braking for the last chicane of the circuit to (re)discover in the video below via Formula E's X account.
