For the first time this season, Jamie Chadwick did not start from first place. With 4 pole positions and 4 victories in as many races contested, the reigning British champion has achieved an absolute flawless performance since the start of the season. This was without counting on the experience in ELMS on this track by Beitske Visser who took advantage of an error by Chadwick in qualifying to take pole.
From the first meters of the race Abbie Eaton clashed with Marta Garcia, flying off the rear wheel of the car from Spanish. If Visser got off to a good start, Chadwick did not give him the opportunity to complete a lap in the lead and took control from the S de la Verrerie before the Safety Car entered the track to evacuate Eaton's car.
The race was restarted for 21 minutes. In third position, Belen Garcia kept Visser under pressure while at the back of the pack the Dutchwoman Emely de Heus speared Chloe Chambers, Chadwick's teammate at Jenner Racing, once again causing the Safety Car to enter the track.

At the restart, less than half of the race remained to be completed. Visser managed to temporarily take first place before being caught by Chadwick. Belen Garcia took the opportunity to steal second place in the Sainte Baume. Two laps later, Visser went wide at the entrance to the Beausset double straight, giving up third place to Nerea Marti.
At the front, Chadwick only had to complete her race to win ahead of the two Quantfury Team teammates, Garcia and Marti, by setting the fastest lap in the race on the last loop.
With 125 points in his bag out of 125 available, Jamie Chadwick passes the halfway point of the season comfortably in the lead and can calmly envisage a third title in a row in the W Series.
