Chadwick had failed to take pole position in favor of Powell ahead of Silverstone polewoman, Beitske Visser, and only started from 5rd position.

The morning showers having stopped, the 18 drivers took the start this Saturday in slick on a track drying out, but still damp, without having done the slightest lap in the wet. For obvious safety reasons, it was decided to give a flying start and Nerea Marti gave us a small figure under Safety Car, proof of the precarious conditions.

The first turns were good, but before the end of the first lap Team Quantfury teammates, Nerea Marti and Belen Gracia held on and returned to the track at the back of the peloton. While Powell and Visser took more than 3 seconds ahead at the head of the race, Chadwick overcame Marta Garcia a third of the way into the race to gain third place.

Stringing together the fastest laps, Chadwick pounced on the leading duo, coming back into Visser's rear wing in less than three laps.

At mid-race, Hawkins and Kimilainen, fighting for 7th place, clashed forcing the Finn to give up while Chadwick began to shift in a straight line to put Visser under pressure... With success since the reigning champion took second place.

The Safety Car then entered to clear the car of Bianca Bustamente immobilized in the pit entry lane with a left rear axle destroyed following an exit from the track.

4 minutes remained on the clock on the restart and Powell did not tremble, completing his restart perfectly. Chadwick tried to put pressure on her rival but preferred to let her British compatriot slip away in the last two laps to favor a good operation in the championship.

Alice Powell signs her first victory of the season, the first since September 2021 and the start of Chadwick's incredible series of 7 victories.
