A new place is taken on the 2024 grid of Formula 2. Zak O'Sullivan, runner-up Formula 3 in 2023, moves to the next level and will represent ART Grand Prix next season. The Briton, member of the academy Williams, is the first driver confirmed by the French team.

Zak O'Sullivan, 18, first went through the British F4 and GB3 championships before moving up to Formula 3 with Carlin in 2022. This year, with Prema, the Cheltenham native won four victories and s He is ranked second in the championship, behind Gabriel Bortoleto. Enough to convince ART Grand Prix to give him a seat in 2024. The Englishman will be able to try Formula 2 from testing in Abu Dhabi.

“I am very happy to join ART for my first season in F2, rejoices Zak O'Sullivan. I really can't wait to get started. The team has a lot of experience and I can't wait to start the Abu Dhabi test with them. »

This formalization means that one of the two French holders with ART this season will not be renewed. Obviously, Theo Pourchaire, in a good position to win the title in Abu Dhabi, should not continue in the discipline next year. Victor Martins should, in all likelihood, continue with the French team in 2024 for a second year in F2.
