From this season, the Honda RC213Vs from the Repsol Honda team MotoGP will benefit from Akrapovič exhaust systems. Already partners in numerous series, the two entities announced this morning a multi-year collaboration agreement in MotoGP.

In 2023, the complete titanium exhaust system of the Honda RC213V will therefore be the work of the magicians from Akrapovič. The famous Slovenian company has been manufacturing motorcycle exhausts since the 1990s and has a proven track record in MotoGP, WorldSBK, MXGP, EWC and other two- and four-wheel championships. As with Honda, racing is in Akrapovič's very DNA, which proved itself on the track before becoming a reference among a large and passionate public. Colin Edwards brought Akrapovič his first world championship title when he took the WorldSBK crown in 2000 aboard his Honda RC51. The brand can since boast of having equipped the last three MotoGP World Champions, Joan Mir in 2020, fabio quartararo in 2021 and Francesco Bagnaia in 2022.

Slavko Alojz Trstenjak, R&D manager of Akrapovič Racing, is delighted with this collaboration in the premier category: “Extending our cooperation with Honda Racing Corporation to MotoGP is a great honor and a new milestone in our partnership, which has already seen two WorldSBK world championship titles and several victories at the Suzuka 8 Hours. We are happy that the Repsol Honda team is involving Akrapovič in the development of the RC213V.”
