110 spectators went to the Bugatti circuit in Le Mans to watch the Grand Prix MotoGP 2022. The 2023 edition should easily equal this record since the SHARK Grand Prix de France 2023 will host the 1000th Grand Prix in the history of the discipline.

Since 1969, Le Mans has hosted the premier motorcycling event 35 times. Since 2000, it has been a regular stage of the MotoGP Circus and an unmissable event for all fans of the discipline. Organizer and promoter of the Grand Prix, Claude Michy will be able to truly savor this tribute, he who will be celebrating his 30th edition at the helm of the event.

The very first Grand Prix took place in June 1949, the first of six events in the sport's inaugural season. Since then, MotoGP has become a truly global competition, with a 21-race calendar covering five continents in 2023. Over the 70-year history of MotoGP, 125 different World Champions have been crowned in the solo categories, representing a total of 20 different nations.

The sport has taken place in 29 countries, and 73 venues have hosted premier class races. Two more circuits will appear in these statistics in 2023 in Kazakhstan and India.
