Pramac announced this Thursday that the Portuguese rider would once again be replaced by Augusto Fernández. The Spaniard served as interim driver last weekend at the Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin. Eighteenth in the sprint race, Fernández was able to avoid any problems on Sunday and finish in thirteenth place, thus scoring three points. After two seasons with KTM Tech3, the 27-year-old has become a test rider for Yamaha this season.

For Miguel Oliveira, this new setback is unfortunately not the first in his career. MotoGPHaving arrived in the premier class in 2019, Oliveira has only competed in two full seasons, in 2021 and 2022. All his other years in MotoGP have been marked by various injuries. This time, it is a ruptured ligament in his left shoulder that prevents him from competing in the two Grands Prix following his injury, which occurred after a crash in Argentina. During the Sprint, Oliveira had a collision with Fermín Aldeguer, and he was already unable to take part in Sunday's Grand Prix.
