New green light for the rehabilitation of Marc Marquez

Little by little, Marc Marquez continues his rehabilitation with a view to his return to MotoGP. Six weeks after his operation on his right arm, the Spaniard can finally do without his brace. After a post-operative check-up at the Ruber Internacional Hospital, the doctors were satisfied with the evolution of the Honda rider's right humerus. “ During the medical check-up carried out on Marc Marquez, six weeks after the surgical intervention on his right humerus, a good clinical and radiological evolution was confirmed which allows progress in the program to recover the mobility and strength of the right arm. The patient will be re-examined within the next six weeks. » explains Doctor Sanchez Sotelo

With this new phase in his rehabilitation, Marc Marquez can now begin physiotherapy on his right arm and cardio training. “ We have reached an important step in the healing process. I am very happy to be able to regain mobility in my arm to continue moving forward in the healing process and I would like to thank the entire medical team for their treatment and attention », Explains the Spaniard. As a reminder, the Honda rider decided to undergo surgery to successfully regain his physical condition from 2019 which allowed him to win his sixth title in the MotoGP category.

No date has yet been announced for a potential return to competition for Marc Marquez. But, Alberto Puig, the team manager of the official Honda team, still hopes to find him before the end of the year to participate in the development of the RC213V 2023 edition.
