There will be some changes in the organization of the weekend in Motegi. To ensure all equipment arrives on time from Valencia, the schedule for the Japanese Grand Prix has been revamped. Objective: to avoid the logistics and freight problems that the MotoGP during the Argentinian event for example.

On Friday, the action will start a little later than expected. The first sessions will begin at 13:15 p.m. local time (06:15 a.m. French time) with Free Practice 1 of Moto3, then Moto2 before the MotoGP begins at 15:05 p.m. (08:05 a.m. French time), Moto2 going before MotoGP throughout the session. weekend.

Free Practice 2 will only take place on Saturday at 10:50 a.m. local time (03:50 a.m. French time), at the dawn of a very busy day. Free Practice 3 will take place after qualifying for the lower categories at 07:25 a.m. French time and will be immediately followed by qualifying, with Q1 starting at 08:05 a.m. There will therefore be no 4th free practice session in Motegi.

On Sunday, the drivers will be entitled to a final warm-up from 03:40 a.m. French time. The start of the races will be at 5:00 a.m. for Moto3, then at 6:20 a.m. for Moto2. MotoGP closed the ball with the start of the Japanese Grand Prix scheduled for 08:00 a.m.
