Alex Rins finally withdraws from Sachsenring

The return was too premature for Alex Rins. The Spaniard ended his weekend at Sachsenring after the first three free practice sessions. The Suzuki rider still suffers from a wrist, weakened during his impressive fall in Barcelona two weeks earlier.

However, the doctors gave him the green light for participation in the German Grand Prix, but the pain in his hand and wrist has since intensified. The decision to stop was taken by mutual agreement with the Japanese team after free practice session 3.

Alex Rins did not want to take any risks for the rest of the season. “I decided, with the team, to stop riding and not participate in the race this weekend. Today the feeling with my hand and wrist is a little worse than yesterday, and I found that it hurts a lot when I try to do a quick spin, so I don't feel able to compete. For this reason, we prefer to focus on being more recovered and stronger for the Netherlands. I hope my physical condition will be better at Assen, especially since it's a track that I really like. »
