After an almost perfect weekend for fabio quartararo, disappointment, but above all irritation seemed to prevail for the Frenchman. Poleman, the Frenchman had chosen to start on slick tires after a delayed start and greatly disrupted by the various changes of bikes by the riders.
Leader before his first long lap, Fabio Quartararo had managed to catch up behind Marc Marquez before crashing. Despite his attempts to get going again, the Yamaha rider was unable to get out of the gravel, and ended this fabulous weekend in frankly disappointing circumstances. In this same corner, Brad Binder also lost control of his bike, while several crashes had already occurred at the start, including that of Francesco Bagnaia, as well as during Saturday's sprint race.
Moments after these rather damaging crashes, Johann Zarco nevertheless managed to take the lead in the Grand Prix, reviving French hopes on the Bugatti circuit at Le Mans. Clearly, strategy and success are the deciding factors in this unprecedented event.
