Big scare for Aleix Espargaro at Silverstone. While the Spaniard was stringing together laps during FP4, he lost control of his mount and was thrown violently to the ground after a highside. The Aprilia rider was forced to end his practice session with 20 minutes remaining on the clock. Although Aleix Espargaro was able to get up, he was still evacuated on a stretcher by the track marshals.

The question then arose about the Spaniard's participation in qualifying. After passing through the medical center, the Aprilia rider was declared fit even though he still needed the help of two people to get himself inspected. This afternoon Aleix Espargaro will certainly be reduced for the session which could cause him to start far down the grid on Sunday at 14:00 p.m.
