- Kalle Rovanperä to the power of four! The Finn achieved a fourth consecutive scratch this Friday, on the Rally from the Canary Islands. On another planet, the two-time world champion continues to impress and does not let up. Comfortable with his Toyota Yaris and Hankook tires, the 24-year-old driver was the fastest in SS4 with a time of 15:39, the only driver to beat the best time on the first run this morning set by... himself.
- With this new scratch time, Kalle Rovanperä further increases his lead at the top of the general classification: the Nordic rider now has a 22″3 advantage over Sébastien Ogier and 27″7 ahead of Elfyn Evans, who are unable to beat their teammate on the winding roads of Gran Canaria. As in SS3 this morning, Toyota scored another quintuple in SS4 with Sami Pajari's 4th time and Takamoto Katsuta's 5th time, the Japanese manufacturer continues to dominate the debates.
- The Finnish rookie even passed in front Adrien fourmaux in 4th place in the general classification: if the Hyundai have picked up a bit of pace compared to this morning, the South Korean models are still well behind the Toyotas. Ott Tänak et Thierry Neuville are close to a minute behind after only four special stages!
