  • Kalle Rovanperä started off on the same footing as Friday. After scoring a clean sweep on the first day, the Finn picked up the same pace this Saturday morning by taking the overall stage win on SS7, one second ahead of a Sébastien Ogier who really thought he could beat his teammate in this special. The double world champion, behind on the first intermediates, made the difference at the end of the special with better tire management. Overall, his lead climbs to 27″8 ahead of the Gapençais.
  • More generally, we experienced the same scenario as Friday on this SS7, with Toyota dominant (four Toyotas leading the special) and Hyundai struggling against the Japanese mounts. After a difficult end to the day on Friday, Adrien fourmaux found a good rhythm and managed to get between the Toyotas of Takamoto Katsuta and Sami Pajari in this 7th special. The best Hyundai driver, the Northerner gained two positions in the general classification ahead of his two teammates and moved up to 6th place.
