The Frenchman, already tied with Thierry Neuville during SS11, won his first special (12'03″7) ahead of the Belgian (+1″2) and Dani Sordo (+1″3). Elfyn Evans finished 4th, and saw his second place threatened by the Frenchman's rise to the general standings.
Sébastien Ogier appeared satisfied after making his first scratch: " Better late than never ! It was a first half of rally difficult for us. We worked a lot on the car and now I'm starting to feel better. I have never changed so many things on a car during a rally, but at least we finally found a better rhythm.”
