Every sane driver dreads a night special at the end of a day of the French Championship.

Eric Camilli (C3 Rally2-PH Sport by Minerva Oil) and Stéphane Sarrazin (Polo GTI R5-Sarrazin Motorsport) lost big on the podium of this Critérium. The first stopped in the middle of the special while Boss Sarrazin, brilliant until then, lost 1 minute with a puncture but saved his place on the podium at the last minute.

Thomas Chauffray who had a perfect race in the Top 10 at the wheel of his Renault Clio Rally3 also had to retire after leaving the road.

Léo Rossel (C3 Rally2-PH Sport by Minerva Oil) signs the last scratch of the day while Yoann Bonato (C3 Rally2-CHL Sport Auto) perfectly mastered his effort to return to the park in Leader position with a 52-second lead. on Rossel.

Critérium des Cévennes – SS8 classification

Bonato: “Really survival, with lots of traps, sudden humidity. We wanted to keep as many tires as possible for tomorrow. »

Rossel: “We are building up to a crescendo, we are very proud of what we have done. The last stage was difficult. We come home 2nd this evening, tomorrow we will try to gain experience. »

Astier: “Super weak grip in the last, a kind of ointment. Very tricky, we didn’t make any mistakes, that’s very good”

Robert: “it was something. We had to put tough guys behind us, it wasn't easy. We’re still here, we’ll see tomorrow”

Mauffrey: “It’s a real Cévennes. We find the night, the spectators, the real atmosphere of the Cévennes; we had a little spin in the last but we had a great day”

Escudero: “I'm smiling a little less, I don't have a handbrake anymore, it's a shame, we're getting back on track”

Live: “I really didn’t ride, I didn’t want to take any risks, I managed pretty well”
