Cretien without rival at the Suran Rally

From the outset we witnessed a magnificent fight between Cretien, Esparcieux, Roux and Ravoire. Cretien scored two scratches and took the lead in the first stage with a 3" lead over Esparcieux and 5" over Roux, before continuing his momentum the next day to take the victory. Behind, Roux, author of two scratches, took 2e place for only 10” ahead of Esparcieux, author of four scratches. Ravoire failed at the foot of the podium by 3”. In Group A, a duel quickly took place between Blaser and Hunziker (Mini Cooper WRC), the latter abandoning in the penultimate stage, letting Blaser slip towards a group victory. For the Group F2000, superb battle between Audet and Artzner (106 S16), until the latter gave up before the last lap. In Group N, total supremacy for Mollas who signs eleven best times out of the thirteen in the rally and finished in the Top 10. Finally, in GT, Deplatiere scored a nice and easy victory with ten best times. F. Lombard
