Classic for Mexico in 2023

Interrupted before the end in 2020 due to the quarantine of many countries during the pandemic, Mexico was not included in the program in 2021 and 2022. This year, in order to maintain the motivation of their teams and to demonstrate to the promoter of WRC that it was once again possible to organize a round in good conditions, the organizers launched the Rally of Nations Guanajuato in April. With the success of this concept, it became increasingly clear that the WRC would return to León in 2023. The first gravel race of the season is scheduled for March 16-19. Spread across 23 SS, a little over 320 timed km are planned. As is the tradition in Mexico, there are many super specials (9) which often mark the end of the day. The most famous (SS1 and 2) will take the famous tunnels of the superb city of Guanajuato on Thursday evening. The great classics like El Chocolate (31,45 km), Las Minas (13,61 km) or Otates (35 km) on Sunday are then in the celebrations. The service park will once again be installed near the León stadium, in an infrastructure built this year and which was used for the rally of Nations.
