- Elfyn Evans sounds the revolt! The Welshman took his first scratch of the day, during SS6, and beat Kalle Rovanperä on this special by 1″7.
- The Finn nevertheless remains well ahead of the Rally of Central Europe, with a lead of 27″5 over its rival in the championship.
- A slower special than the first pass in the morning, due to a much muddy and polluted road after the passage of the 70 cars entered in this rally.
- Thierry Neuville, author of the 2nd time 1″1 behind Elfyn Evans, remains in contact with the Welshman in the fight for 2nd place.
- Sébastien Ogier, who revealed that he was ill at the end of the first loop, did not give up and set the 5th time.
- The 6th special was interrupted, then canceled after the passage of Takamoto Katsuta, for safety reasons. Spectators would have placed themselves in dangerous areas. Teemu Suninen, Pierre-Louis Loubet and Grégoire Munster were unable to complete this SS6 and, like all the other crews, will have a fixed time allocated. This will be determined based on the times achieved by the six drivers who were able to complete the special.
