Finland – SS17: Perfect tie between Tänak and Rovanperä

The battle can't get any closer than this. Ott Tänak and Kalle Rovanperä achieved the same time during SS17, in 6'25″2. The two drivers at the head of the Rally from Finland are in another category in an intense fight for first place. No change therefore in the general classification, the Estonian still has an 11″5 lead over the Finn.
Now isolated in 3rd position, Esapekka Lappi (3rd, + 2″8) is in the process of overtaking the leading duo, 20 seconds behind the overall leader. Elfyn Evans (4th, +3″7) is also isolated in 4th place, almost 30 seconds behind Tänak. The Welshman suspected a warped wheel at the finish of the special.
In the rest of the ranking, no surprises. The Top 10 of the special is the same as that of the general classification. The only notable change: Gus Greensmith (7th, +10″5) overtook Pierre-Louis Loubet (8th, +15″1) and now occupies 7th place in the Rally Finland.
