Ott Tänak is not taking his foot off the gas and is establishing himself as the big favorite for this Safari Rally Kenya 2025. The road is still long of course but the Estonian seems in great shape as he has just set a third consecutive best time, with a 2/2 to his name this Friday morning.

The 2019 world champion dominated all of his teammates with a time of 14'29"8 which allowed him to get the better of his teammate Thierry Neuville (+1 seconds) and Elfyn Evans (+5 seconds). This allows him to widen the gap at the top of the general classification with a 2 seconds advantage over Elfyn Evans while Kalle Rovanperä has fallen back to 3 seconds. The Finn was the victim of a spin and lost more than 15 seconds in this special.

Although 2nd at 1, Thierry Neuville is 5'1"23 behind after receiving a one-minute penalty for a late check-in at the service exit earlier in the day. Adrien fourmaux showed a better face after his technical problems the day before. The Northerner finished 4th but is unfortunately last in Rally1 with more than 10 minutes behind.
