Kenya – Thierry Neuville injured in SS13

Terrible disillusionment for Thierry Neuville. Alors que le Belge réalisait un samedi remarquable en ayant remporté deux spéciales ce matin, le pilote Hyundai a subi un gros coup d’arrêt lors de SS13, won by Sébastien Ogier (Toyota). Après avoir dépassé Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota) pour le gain de la 3e place au classement général, le Belge a d’abord subi une panne de moteur sur son i20 avant de percuter un arbre dans des conditions de visibilité difficiles, nous apprend Hyundai. Heureusement, l’équipage composé de Thierry Neuville et de son copilote Martijn Wydaeghe est OK selon le constructeur coréen.

For Neuville, this end of the afternoon was definitely difficult because, at the end of SS12, he was forced to make repairs to the suspension of his Hyundai. In these conditions, it seems unlikely that the driver in No. 11 will be able to start the last special of the day. Thierry Neuville surely sees his podium dreams disappearing…
