After more than 20 years spent detecting promising pilots thanks to the operation Rally Young FFSA, the French Motor Sport Federation has also set itself the objective of henceforth offering co-drivers a similar detection operation.

For €10 and online registration at www.rallyejeunes.com, high-level aspiring co-drivers will come and test themselves at Le Mans on Saturday January 13, 2018 under the eyes of a professional jury.

The only conditions for participating: having held an FFSA license before December 1, 2017 and holding a B driving license. For one day, candidates will take part in different exercises – personal interviews, role-playing, tests regulatory and rallying knowledge… – in the premises of the FFSA Academy, the federal training center based on the edge of the circuit 24h of Le Mans.

At the same time, the FFSA Academy continues its desire to energize the rally world within its sectors, in addition to hosting courses for the French FFSA Rally Team and the mechanical management of the FFSA Youth Rally Team.

The jury for the FFSA Youth Rally Copilots detection operation will also be made up of Sébastien Ménard, the educational manager of the center, as well as Nicolas Klinger, French international co-pilot, and Nicolas Bernardi, FFSA Youth Rally Manager.

By extending its detection operation to co-drivers, the FFSA is giving itself the means to develop a pool of young talent, which the French drivers will be able to call on if the need to accompany them in the right seat arises.

At the end of this selection and a complementary full-scale test session, two co-drivers will be selected to join forces in 2018 with two members of the FFSA Rallye Jeunes Team (Romain Masselin and Adrien fourmaux).
