Le rally of Japan is off to a complicated start. After the delayed launch this morning the first section of the day was stopped. The Rally1 of Dani Sordo and Candido Carrera was destroyed by flames without the crew being able to do anything to stop the fire. SS2 was then not restarted after the incident. As the next stage, Inabu Dam 1, was scheduled to start at 8:00 a.m., it was clear that this would not be possible with competitors scattered in several locations. The rally having fallen too late, the organizers decided not to start SS3 and to divert all the cars to SS4e section of the program. Shitara Town (SS4, 22,44 km) will however not leave at 8:58 a.m. as planned, but at 9:20 a.m. (1h20 in France).
