Germain Bonnefis made a very good start to rally in Lozère. The pilot of the Peugeot 207 S2000 finishes the first stage more than a minute ahead of the 307 WRC by Paul Chieusse. Noël Tron completes the provisional podium 30 seconds behind the Championship leader with his Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X. Jean-Marc Falco (Lancer Evo X) and Jean-Sébastien Vigion (Citroën DS3 R3) complete the top five. Quentin Gilbert (DS3 R3) is only five seconds behind fifth place.
