Julien Maurin (Ford Fiesta RS WRC) concluded this first stage of the Rally of Mont-Blanc by a scratch in the SS5 of Samoëns – Morzine. The reigning French Champion is ahead of David Salanon's sister car by 4″9 and especially Jean-Marie Cuoq (Citroën C4 WRC) by 15″6, the latter having spun. So much so that at the end of this first day, Maurin is 36″4 ahead of Cuoq and 54″7 over Salanon in 3rd.
The second stage will begin tomorrow morning at 9:12 a.m., with the 28 km of the ES de La Côte-Praz de Lys? Sommand.
