And a new special winner in the history of WRC. This is Grégoire Munster. Pushed back to the back of the pack after a problem during the liaison after the last special on Friday, the driver M-Sport was forced to open the road this Saturday. This was nevertheless an advantage for him who took advantage of cleaner asphalt than his competitors behind him.

Thus, the reference set by Grégoire Munster in 16'28“6 has ultimately never been beaten. Sébastien Ogier was the closest but the Tricolore finally conceded 8 tenths on his counterpart who thus signed his first victory in special of his career. Other drivers also got close but the last sections a little too polluted made them lose a few seconds, to the great benefit of Munster. Thierry Neuville encountered technical problems right from the start. The Belgian was forced to reset his car, which eventually regained its power. The reigning champion nevertheless lost just over a minute in this affair.

In the general classification, Sébastien Ogier managed to increase his lead over Elfyn Evans and Adrien fourmaux. The Welshman and the Tricolore signed the same time and conceded 4“2 on the leader. The latter now has a lead of 16“8 and 18“4 on his two rivals.
