With Cuoq, winner last year, absent, the fight for victory would be played out between local drivers. Roussat took the first three stage wins in his new Ford Fiesta R5 to have, at the end of the first loop, a 27'' lead over Mounard and 1'38'' over Dufaud. Boissy (DS3 R5) 4th overall retired after SS 2 with mechanical problems. Roussat continued his festival in the second loop by signing two new scratches but a hub carrier gave way and retirement was inevitable. Mounard then alone set four best times and won “his” rally ahead of Dufaud who won Group A by only 0" ahead of Delepine, the latter paying for his lack of knowledge of the terrain. Derory, solid leader of Group N, signed one more victory with a view to the October final. For the Group F2000, Muret was truly untouchable in front of two other BMW drivers, Durand and Epale. Finally, in GT, Bugnazet won without adversity after the abandonment of Viallette in SS 8. F. Lombard
