The limitation on the number of testing days decided by the FIA pushes the three teams to find other solutions to allow their crews to accumulate kilometers. At the start of the year, this will delight two organizers who will see hybrid Rally1s arriving on their specials.
The Finn who joined Hyundai in the off-season and who was not very brilliant in Monte-Carlo will compete in the same event as Katsuta. During the 94 km timed Ralli Kuopio in central Finland, Lappi will be able to judge the behavior of the i20 on ice and snow.
Further south, in his native Estonia, Ott Tänak will take part in the Otepää talveralli which takes place not far from the roads usually used by the rally from Estonia.
The 2019 world champion hopes to find winter conditions during the 110,38 km timed divided into 8 special stages. With a division in which there will be assistance, every 2ES, will allow the team M-Sport to make adjustments offering the crew a better understanding of the Puma.
