  • For this first step of Rally from Portugal, it was Pierre-Louis Loubet who set the best time on SS1 (Lousa 1, 12,03 km) starting last among the Rally1s.
  • With a time of 9’02’7, the Frenchman beat Dani Sordo (+0″3) and his teammate Ott Tänak (+2″3). He logically takes the lead in the Rally of Portugal.
  • Elfyn Evans, who opened the road, lost 7″9 on the best time, while the rest of the field remained cautious for the start of the Portuguese event.
