Ott Tänak takes a second scratch this Friday in Sardinia by dominating the SS4 in front of Thierry Neuville (+1″1) and Sébastien Ogier (+2″8). The Belgian, reigning world champion, regains the provisional general classification lead at the expense of his teammate Adrien fourmaux for only two tenths. The Frenchman of Hyundai took 6th place in the special, more than 4″ behind the Estonian.
Overall, we now find the three Hyundais in the first three places, followed by the five ToyotaThe Japanese are led by Ogier, who is only 1 seconds behind Tänak. Things are still not getting any better for Evans, who is still eighth in the standings, more than 9 seconds behind Neuville.
As a reminder, the three M-Sport will not be running in the afternoon since they retired at the end of the second special stage due to accidents. The worst damage was suffered by Martins Sesks who rolled over several times, fortunately without serious consequences.
In WRC2, Yohan Rossel took 4th place in this fourth special stage in Sardinia, 7 seconds behind Finland's Lindholm. Overall, the Frenchman climbed to 0rd place, 3 seconds behind Bulgaria's Nicolay Gryazin. His brother Léo finished 31th, 5 seconds behind. He is 8th in the standings, more than a minute behind.
