- There was one who didn't miss the alarm. Kalle Rovanperä attacked this last day in Portugal with full throttle, putting everyone in agreement on SS19. The Finn got the better of Thierry Neuville et Ott Tänak. But, above all, he makes a big move in the general classification since he consolidates his provisional second place. But that's not all. He actually gains 11 seconds at Sébastien Ogier !
- The Frenchman only finished in fifth place in this 19th special stage. At the finish, the eight-time world champion simply stated that he had done his best but that he had not taken any risks either due to the treacherous and rocky paths in places. There is now only 16 seconds between the two teammates. At this rate, we will quickly see a change of leader!
- Behind the two Toyota, we find both Hyundai Tänak and Neuville. The Belgian, thanks to his excellent time in this SS19, widens the gap on Takamoto Katsuta for 4th place (12″8 between the two). And he is back to 6″8 behind the Estonian. The next stages promise more great battles in Portugal!
- In Rally2, Oliver Solberg attacked strongly this Sunday morning, winning SS19 ahead of Yohan Rossel (+2″7). Overall, the Swede continues to ride alone ahead of Gus Greensmith, who missed out a bit on this first special of the morning (5th, 6″4) and Rossel. The Frenchman is 1″8 behind the Briton in the standings (56″5 vs 58″3)!
