The 21st special stage of the Rally of Portugal, an 11,18-kilometre loop around Fafe, saw the victory of Ott Tänak (Hyundai).

Portugal – SS21: Ott Tänak powers nine!

  • What if he were to go for second place overall? This Sunday morning, in Portugal, Ott Tänak seems unstoppable. After winning SS20, the Estonian did it again in SS21, winning ahead of Sébastien Ogier. The pilot Hyundai, who achieved his 9th scratch of the weekend, took 3″3 from Kalle Rovanperä, winner of the first special of the day.
  • Overall, Tänak is now 7 seconds behind the driver. ToyotaThe Frenchman, for his part, is giving himself some breathing space, now having a 16″ lead over his teammate. For his part, Thierry Neuville now seems out of the running for third place, 14 seconds behind his teammate. In addition, the Belgian is no longer under direct threat from Takamoto Katsuta (Toyota) for fourth place. The two men are in fact separated by 17 seconds. Behind, sixth place will be fought between Sami Pajari and Elfyn Evans.
  • In Rally2, Oliver Solberg this time gets the better of Yohan Rossel by just five tenths of a second in this 21st special of the weekend in Portugal! Overall, the Swede is now 55 seconds ahead of the Frenchman and 2 seconds ahead of Briton Gus Greensmith. The latter two are now separated by 59 seconds in Rossel's favor.
