Le Catalan Richard Génesca (Toyota Celica GT4) pouvait rêver de victoire sur son rally fetish, before the night stage, on Saturday, when he was leading his compatriot Roca and Chivaydel (Fiesta R5). But that was without counting on the man in form of the moment, Benjamin Cardénas. By signing two scratches after dark, then three others on Sunday, the driver of the 306 Maxi achieved the perfect hold-up.

“On their land you really have to put in the work to get them. I knew I would have the advantage in the night stage. I drove at the limit”, specified the Cadurcien who ultimately kept 4 "5 on Génesca who experienced ignition problems (coil) in SS7, a time where Chivaydel went off the road leaving the field open to the eldest of Génesca's sons, Arnaud, for victory in group R.

Roca, author of a scratch on Sunday, reached the 3rd step of the podium. The success of the Génesca is complete with Guillaume winning group N. In GT, Bonnel was never worried.
