This 45th edition of rally du Gard was marked by numerous events, including the return (on a 208 T16) of Dominique Sérieys, 27 years later alongside Jef Mourgues (4 victories here), but also the 30th anniversary celebration of GT2i with a host of guest stars (Vatanen, Ambrosino, Sarrazin…). The Niçois Pupo (Skoda) proved to be imperial, signing the victory and 9 of the 11 times. Maurice Dumas, with Romain's big 911 GT3 RS, and Vivens followed at a distance for a while while Mourgues was on the podium on the second lap before retiring with a broken clutch on SS2. Dumas secured 4nd place ahead of Vivens. A moment 2th, Roca (Subaru WRC), overwhelmed with a host of problems, broke his box (SS 9) on Sunday and made way for Brunet's 306. Morel, delayed by a sliding front hood on Saturday, closed the Top 5 with a clear victory in group N. Beaten by the Williams group A of Habouzit, Anthérieu led group R from start to finish.
