Victorious return to competition for Pierre Louis Loubet

Pierre Louis will no doubt recognize it himself. This success in the Rally Capital do Queijo I Fajas isn't the one that required the most talent from him. After a difficult year in WRC2, he must have been welcomed with joy. On the island of Sao Jorge in the Azores, nothing came to hinder the crew's progress, and experiencing a race without errors or misfortune is the best way to start a new year and build confidence.

Last year, Pierre Louis' WRC2 program at Toksport turned into a rollercoaster, with a roll in Portugal and another in Finland, an outing at the Acropolis and a mechanical problem in Sardinia. It was only in Poland that the former 2 WRC2019 world champion was able to capitalize by taking the 5th car.e place of the competition. Following another retirement at Lamia in Greece in September, the Frenchman kept a low profile and little information was released regarding the rest of his career.

Lined up in the Azores in a Citroën C3 Rally2 that he was new to, the 28-year-old Corsican immediately took the lead. Facing admittedly limited competition, he set all the best times in the 9 SS (74,15 km timed) and easily won.

So far, Loubet has not announced any plans for this year, but it looks like the wait will not be long.
