Sardinia – SS7: Lappi takes the lead, Loubet back in the Top 3
Seventh special and fifth change of leader. At the helm since SS4, Ott Tänak (Hyundai) a laissé échapper de précieuses secondes au classement général. Sixième sur la ligne à 7″1 d’Esapekka Lappi (Toyota), l’Estonien a cédé les clés du camion à ce dernier sur lequel il compte 7 dixièmes de retard désormais.
Expulsé du Top 3 après l’ES6, Pierre-Louis Loubet (M-Sport) a repris son droit lors de l’ES7. Cinquième de la spéciale à presque 7 secondes d’avance sur Esapekka Lappi, le Corse a surtout devancé Craig Breen (M-Sport) by a second to take back 3rd position in the general classification. Only four tenths separate the two drivers of the English structure.
