Even at 50, there's no question of sparing your body while patiently waiting to get back behind the wheel of the Dacia Sandrider and continue your preparation for the next Dakar. Sébastien Loeb will pilot from next week at Rally of Chablais, where he will be driving a Alpine A110 GT+.

"It's a great chance that he's here.", enthuses Eric Jordan, the president of the rally's organizing committee, delighted by the presence of such a headliner. "It's a plus for the public, and for the media too. For us, it's a little extra work."

Sébastien Loeb will return to compete in the event for the first time since 2017, after missing the last edition at the last minute. "Everything fell into place this year. We prepared in advance, and he gave us the green light just recently," continued Éric Jordan.

On June 6 and 7, the nine-time world champion WRC will be at the start of the 21st edition of the Rallye du Chablais, co-driven by his partner Laurène Godey. “Back behind the wheel of this bomb, by GL Automobiles Service Compétition, from next week,” shares Loeb on his Facebook page in a post accompanied by a photo of theAlpine A110 GT+ which he also drove in the Mont Blanc Rally.

“Happy, with Laurène, to (re)start the Rallye du Chablais, which I have been sponsoring for almost 20 years. See you in Switzerland from Thursday, June 5,” continues the Alsatian. He will be one of the 96 teams at the start, 13 more than last year.

For Sébastien Loeb, it will be a return to the track after his 2nd place in the South African Safari Rally, behind the local rider, Henk Lategan.
