Neuville took advantage of this to steal third place in the general classification from his teammate Ott Tänak, who lost more than ten seconds on this timed section. The Estonian seems to have suffered with the cooling of his engine, water coming out of his bonnet when he was on the limiter in the long sections at full speed in the Swedish forests. Tänak did not want to talk about it at the stop point, but the Estonian must be satisfied to have reached the end of this first loop of the day.
Adrien fourmaux lost 23″6 on his teammate, following a strange problem at the start of the special. The Frenchman did not set off at full speed, and the images from the onboard camera showed him adjusting his helmet. The Northerner did not say a word at the finish of the special, so it is difficult to know exactly what happened to him. Kalle Rovanperä and Sami Pajari placed their Toyota in second and third position of this SS11. Continued at 14:10 p.m. with the start of the second loop, on the same three special stages as this morning.
