Ce Rally Sweden's rider is definitely keeping all his promises and seems more indecisive than ever. Beaten by Takamoto Katsuta in the previous special, Elfyn Evans responded in this SS17 to also achieve a very good performance. Like the Japanese a few hours earlier, the Welshman also did a double blow, winning the scratch and above all taking back the lead in the general classification.
As the Power Stage approaches, Elfyn Evans leads the way again with a 3" lead over Takamoto Katsuta after taking 7" back on him during SS8. Second in the special, Thierry Neuville hopes to have his say in the final SS of the weekend as he sits just 11 seconds off the lead. Ott Tänak and Kalle Rovanperä completed the top five at 5 and 14 seconds respectively.
