The Finnish double world champion set the record straight with a scratch time, after a Friday where he appeared to be struggling. The wearer of number 69 announced that he had made a lot of changes with his team during the evening on his Toyota Yaris Rally1, changes which seem to be bearing fruit since he now feels confident in the cockpit.
Behind him, the top 3 of the general classification finished in disorder, Katsuta (Toyota) signing the second time ahead of Evans (Toyota) and Thank you (Hyundai). The Japanese rider is just a tenth of a second behind his Toyota teammate in the general classification, after a special marked by heavy snowfall during the night. This has a sweeping effect for the leading drivers, including Jourdan Serderidis and Grégoire Munster (M-Sport Ford). Enough to change the situation in the afternoon, when the three special stages of the morning will be covered once again by the drivers.
While the top 5 was within ten seconds before this ninth special, the Hyundais ofAdrien fourmaux et Thierry Neuville have lost some time on the leaders, and are now 10″7 and 13″9 respectively. Continuation of this Rally from Sweden at 10:05, with the tenth special, the 14,23 km of Sarsjöliden 1.
