And five for Ott Tänak ! The Estonian rider, the outgoing winner in Sardinia, proves that he is still as comfortable on these sandy and tricky roads. On the attack in this SS11, which trapped the competitors as much this morning as this afternoon, the rider of Hyundai signed his fifth scratch of the weekend, in front, once again, Sébastien Ogier (+3″7). A very good Takamoto Katsuta completed the podium in this eleventh special.
Once again, this longest special of the day (more than 24 km), trapped several riders: Elfyn Evans and Sami Pajari, first of all, who both lost a lot of time following a puncture. Unfortunately, it was for Adrien fourmaux that it went the worst.
The Frenchman ended his day after 1,9 km of SS11 after a major excursion and a rollover in a tight corner. While the crew is fine, his Hyundai i20 is not. It's therefore uncertain whether he'll be able to start tomorrow and score important points on Super Sunday in Sardinia.
Finally, in the general classification, it's the status quo. Sébastien Ogier lost a few more seconds when he had to overtake his compatriot since the latter started just in front of him. In any case, even if he could make up time if the stewards validate it, the eight-time world champion still has around ten seconds on Ott Tänak and nearly 45 seconds on Kalle Rovanperä, his teammate.
